Final coursework project for IB Design & Technology. The goal of the project was to design and manufacture a desktop storage solution that helps a person store and organize items on their desk, with an emphasis on ease of use and efficiency in storing objects. My design is a family of four storage ‘islands’, each tailored for different items - magazines, stationery, headphones, and a phone. Each island has a rotating mechanism (lifting the main structure slightly above the desk) that makes it easy for someone to reach for what they need.
